The Kentile sign was an iconic sign in Brooklyn, NY built in 1949 by the Kentile Corporation and a landmark for millions until 2014 when it was dismantled. The sign was famous, but the Kentile Flooring company was infamous for making asbestos tile until 1986.
We have compressed it's immense size; it was almost a hundred feet tall - but at 8" tall the model version can still be an impressive sight on your industrial rooftop or roadside scene.
Note the HO scale figure in the framework only photo. Even in O scale and especially in N Scale where it's slightly taller than the real sign, the sign will make for an eye catching scene.
HO Scale Height = 56'
O Scale Height = 31'
N Scale Height = 105'
The sign laser cut from MDF , can be purchased without the laser cut lettering if you choose to model the billboard empty and abandoned.
If you have no place for it on your layout, it also makes for an interesting display object on the shelf.
Though it looks complex, it's a fairly simple build using CA glue.
