The Terminal!
This is our 2018 HO Scale Limited Run Kit - Only 200 Will Be Made
_________________________________________
The Terminal features a town block centered around a small scale, three bay bus terminal. As with many small towns and cities, defunct trolley car barns and depots were transformed as the times changed; in this case into a bus terminal. Also changing with the times, the nearly vanished now Livery Stable - providing an interesting contrast sandwiched between the bus terminal and the rail line. Anchoring the block is a looming mill, Caswell Shoes. A small auto repair shop sits in the mills shadow, and as a testament to the long gone trolley barn, The Trolley Barn Tavern provides drinks for the locals. The buses make their way between the tavern and the Canal Street Market, wholesalers of beef, fish and poultry.
We crammed a lot into this kit, so one of the structures is optional.
Main kit includes:
Livery Stable 5"x5"/ Bus Terminal 5" x 7.5"/ Caswell Shoe Co. 5.25"x 8.75"/ Clyde Auto 1.75"x3"/ Trolley Barn Tavern2" x 4"
You can select the following as an add-on: Canal Street Market Building(3" x8") $55 ( a $95 value if sold separately)
The overall dimensions of the structure complex is 16" x 18", our diorama is 28" round.
The kit includes laser cut wood clapboard and scribed walls, as well as two types of lasercut shingles, corrugated roofing, lasercut lettered roof signage, metal detail parts including many new patterns, color signs and billboards, board by board construction, plastic windows and doors, lasercut doors, detailed templates and assembly instructions.
The Bus Terminal features an Art Deco entry way, yet clings to it's earlier days as a clapboard trolley barn. Large billboards are seen when buses enter from the back. The Livery Stable features a board by board upper level hay loft, a few outdoor horse paddocks and a skewed, corrugated roof. The large mill features four stories plus a double stacked tower, wedges into angled lot providing many dynamic ins and outs and areas for detail. The small auto shop is a simple stucco structure with garage door, next to the also angled tavern with a small tower of its own. The OPTIONAL add - on Canal Street Market Building features a mix of building materials, roof dormers and multiple sliding freight doors.
With the exception of the auto shop, all of the structures can be built as stand alone buildings with minor modifications, adjoining walls are blank task board but can easily be modified and covered with things like billboards or vertical roofing paper.
NOT INCLUDED: Figures, animals, scenery or vehicles.
